FabLab with facilities outside?
Hi Fab Folks,
recently I made some progress with an augmented reality software which allows remote construction using bricks: www.RealityBuilder.com Currently it is only a prototype, working with prerecorded video clips (ca. 300!). And to advance the project, I would really like to realize a live stream. So I am looking for an appropriate place for the experiment, with good Internet access for live video upstreaming, and with a little space outside to set up the "building site". But at least as important are great people with whom to share ideas about personal fabrication and augmented reality!
I considered visiting the fab lab Norway for some weeks but the price for accommodation eventually put me off - I just cannot afford it, and for sleeping in a tent it's already a bit cold. Then I looked at other fab labs. However, many of those that I found seem to be open to the public only once or twice a week, and I would like to work full-time.
Note that I may be joined by a friend, who is very much interested in working with wood. So access to a laser cutter would be nice. Other than that, I don't need much of the usual machines, at least as far as I can see.
What I am happy to do besides working on the aforementioned project is teaching! I absolutely enjoy that, and I can offer expertise in the areas of computer programming, math, and physics. In fact I have a diploma in physics (M.Sc. equivalent), and I've studied some architecture.
Suggestions for a good place to go?
I'd be grateful! And I am willing to travel anywhere.
Kind regards,
Felix
